From the Ropes to Redemption: Chad's Story
I served in the 82nd Airborne Division, where discipline, strength, and resilience were a way of life. But in 2016, an injury began a slow unraveling. I left the Army in 2019, unaware that my toughest battle wasn’t behind me — it was just beginning.

Without the uniform, the mission, and the community, I lost my sense of purpose. By 2021, my health—physical, mental, and spiritual—was in freefall. I had gained over 100 pounds. I drank too often, ate poorly, stopped working out, and withdrew from everyone, including myself. I was consumed by anxiety, depression, and high blood pressure. Even basic tasks like going to the grocery store felt impossible.
Like many veterans, I didn’t understand why the transition to civilian life was so hard—until I was the one barely holding on. I hit a point where I had two choices: change my life or let it end early.
So I made one simple rule: If I’m going to be depressed, I’m going to be tired and depressed. I started moving again—working out, reading, researching, fighting to understand what was happening to my mind and body. I changed my medication. I started therapy. I rebuilt my faith. I studied everything—fasting, cold and heat therapy, holistic health, exercise physiology—and slowly, I began to take my life back.
Today, I am completely medication-free. I no longer struggle with hypertension, depression, or anxiety. The darkness that once clouded my days has lifted. I’ve reclaimed control of my health, my purpose, and my life.

This journey became the foundation of Solus Health—a place built to help others fight their way back, just like I did. Especially veterans. Whether you're stuck in the fight or chasing peak performance, we’re here to equip you for the mission.

If you're feeling lost, broken, or defeated—know this: your story isn't over. There's strength in you still. Let’s find it.

Together.
